It’s #worldpizzaday!!! Which might just make it the best day of the year, 🍕🇮🇪😂🙋🏼‍♀️!!!

We love the endless possibilities with pizza- honestly it’s hard to believe how many combinations, flavours, sauces, veg, and toppings!!!

And guess what all 3 of our verily sauces elevate your pizza to another level. Spread our coconut rose, hempseed basil pesto or cashew Alfredo on top of your favorite crust and take it away!!! Just yum!

A big beautiful and healthy salad really is the perfect companion to a pasta dinner!🌱 I make a salad every day- but I do like to switch up the dressing as it can completely transform your salad. Trust me once you make dressing from scratch there’s no going back. This balsamic fig dressing is amazing- such a gorgeous blend of sweet and acid. Pair it with peppery arugula to balance the sweet or a big bowl of mix greens either way, it will carry your salad.

What’s your favorite type of dressing?

Balsamic Fig Dressing
• 1⁄3 cup extra virgin olive oil
• 1⁄4 cup balsamic vinegar
• 1 tablespoon fig jam
• Sea salt and pepper - to taste
Direction:
To make the dressing whisk the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, dig jam, salt and pepper until combined. Just before serving, drizzle the dressing over the salad and gently toss. Enjoy!

We are obsessed with our coconut rose as a pizza base- Glori has sautéed some red peppers, and garlic and spread over the sauce with some fresh mozzarella. Bake in hot oven for about 15 min, and you will have the most delicious pizza ready in no time!

Oh hello Friday- nice to see you!!!!🎉🙋🏼‍♀️ it’s been a week over here and I can’t wait to settle into the weekend schedule.
Friday night’s feel like the perfect time for a little pizza party featuring Verily Cashew Alfredo. You won’t even believe what an incredible pizza sauce this makes.

For this delicious (like drool worthy devour kinda pizza), I started with fresh pizza dough from @casadelpane and let it sit and rest before stretching. Spread over your favorite pizza pan, and cover dough with Cashew Alfredo. In the meantime I sautéed a medley of mushrooms in garlic, olive oil, sea salt and red pepper flakes. Once cooked pour mushrooms overtop cashew sauce, and fresh mozzarella. Bake in hot oven, 450. Or if you have a pizza oven even better OR you can even grill on the bbq. Once cooked, layer fresh arugula, a drizzle of truffle or olive oil, a sprinkle of parm.

Honestly east peasy and such a fun/casual dinner for a weekend meal!

And you thought you didn’t like cauliflower!!!😂🧑‍🍳🌱🧄

Well just wait until you try it with our creamy, bright, and delicious Cashew Alfredo sauce. It will transform all your veg and side dishes into absolute delight. This is one of my favorite recipes to date, and I hope you love it as much as we do!

Verily is so versatile and can be used as a dip, dressing, marinade, spread or course twirled through your favorite pasta!

Enjoy!

Ingredients
1 pouch of VK Cashew Alfredo
1 large head cauliflower cut into florets
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup bread crumbs
5 tbs butter
2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped

Directions
1. Preheat oven to 359
2. Bring large pot of water to a boil over medium heat. Add cauliflower florets and boil for 5 min. Drain and set aside.
3. In small sauce pan over medium heat, lightly warm the cashew Alfredo m. Pour thin layer in the bottom of a baking dish. Spread the cauliflower florets over the sauce and drizzle with remaining Alfredo.
4. Melt butter. In a small bowl combine the bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, and butter. Stir to combine. Sprinkle evenly over cauliflower. Bake until golden brown and bubbling about 15 min. Garnish with parsley.

Pasta Tuesday!🍝 Or pasta on repeat, both are good ideas, lol. Whether it’s freshly made (a fun family weekend project), bought fresh, dry, superfood, whole grain, rice, chickpea, red lentil, sourdough or just the regular good stuff, pasta is a family favourite week-night dinner. I think my kids would be happy if I made pasta 5 nights a week, lol.

Oh hello Sunday!🌱 Pesto and eggs are sure to make your Sunday feel even better than ever.

Place your Verily pesto in a sauce pan and warm over medium, crack eggs into the pesto and let simmer until desired doneness. You can place a lid over pan to encourage the eggs to set. Meanwhile toast your favourite bread (mine is sourdough), when bread is toasted place pesto and eggs on top and crumble feta cheese and a pinch of red pepper flakes for the perfect finish!

(Btw- eggs for dinner are always a good idea as well)! ✨🙋🏼‍♀️🧑‍🍳

Easy peasy, just the way delicious and nutritious food should be! Let our Verily sauces transform your favourite veg, case in point this delicious spaghetti squash, roasted to perfection, shredded and mixed with coconut rose. There are so many unique and intentional qualities about Verily, honestly all the details (big and small) have occupied my mind for over 2 years now (well even before that.) Every entrepreneur starts with an idea and a dream, and that’s how Verily Kitchen grew into this delicious range of wholesome, fresh, real-food sauces. 🙏

Here’s a few fun facts about Verily:
🌱 If you look at the back of the pouch you will see a QR code- hover your phone’s camera and it will lead you to our website to learn more about the sauces
🌱 When you finish the pouch, give it a rinse and recycle it! Yes verily pouches are recyclable
🌱 We are locally produced, female owned, source Canadian ingredients, and use hempseeds grown in the prairies (a nod to my SK farm roots)

My 3 kids and all of you home-cooks who crave healthy, delicious and easy to make dinners continue to be my inspiration, so thank you!

Took a page out of my book quite literally, lol!🌱🧑‍🍳

This delicious pesto chicken, tomato, zucchini, pasta dish is inspired by my cook, This Kitchen is for Dancing, BUT by using Verily hempseed basil pesto it takes most the work out of the recipe.🙋🏼‍♀️

I love the addition of burst cherry tomatoes, with pesto. It tastes SO good. I made this recipe last week and used up the veg on hand- zucchini, corn, bell peppers, onions and tossed with regular pasta. I saved it to my story highlights (along with the full recipe) so check it out and let us be part of your week night dinners.

Let’s go grocery shopping!!🧑‍🍳🙋🏼‍♀️🌱 Did you know you can got almost everything you need to fill your fridge by shopping the perimeter of the store? It’s always the first place I start, and I feel so inspired by the healthy goodness that fills my cart.

And, guess what? That’s also where you will find Verily!🌱 My dream was to create a product that is fresh, wholesome, real using no preservatives, chemicals, gmo’s, or anything refined. I started by creating these recipes for my cookbook This Kitchen is for Dancing and from there a seed was planted…and it grew into Verily Kitchen.

Depending on the store layout you will find Verily in the fridge either by the deli, produce or dairy department. Can’t seem to find it- let the staff know and they will point you in the right direction.

Happy Monday Friends! I’m ready to get back to routine and our regular meals/diet!🧑‍🍳

Today feels like a good day for a fridge clean and grocery shop. Before heading the the store I like to take everything out of the fridge and wash the drawers with hot soapy water, then use a non-toxic cleaner to give everything a good clean.
Compost any spoiled food, and then make your list before heading to the store. Having a meal plan ready for the week will help keep your shop focused and tight, with less room for wastage.
Once home with groceries I like to spend a few minutes storing produce and herbs in reusable containers as they stay fresh a lot longer. Placing herbs in a glass jar with water and placing a bag over top keeps the herbs fresh literally for weeks!
It feels like extra work but trust me the end result will be a game changer for your dinners this week!

Music has a way of completely changing the mood and vibe in such a happy positive way! When my kids were small- meal time (aka witching hour) was made more manageable with a little dance party!🥳💃

It’s the last Friday of the year!!!🥳✨🥂 Special and festive weekends always deserve an amazing appy, and trust me Verily hempseed basil pesto makes the most delicious pair with fresh Burrata and tomatoes! Either layer pesto underneath or smooth on top, and serve with your favourite crackers or bread, it really is a crowd pleaser!

Let Verily be part of your festive dinner🎄🥂..trust me the addition of our amazing hemp-seed basil pesto will be an absolute crowd-pleasure! 🌱

One of the beauty of carrots is they are always available, and can be prepared in so many different ways, however, I have to say that roasting is my preferred method. When tossed with a delicate mix of sweet and spice, these carrots not only make a beautiful presentation, they also pair well with fish, or any meat dish. Garnish them with a beautiful assortment of crumbled goat cheese, chopped pistachios and pomegranate arils in the winter months to make this dish feel extra festive.
